Posted by Fido News, Articles, and More.... / September 4, 2020 / Leave a comment Here are some foods your pet can safely eat.. Watermelon, canteloupe, honeydew, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, bananas, and apples. These are all safe fruits to eat. Any exotic fruits or melons be sure to check with your veterinarian or poison control. No grapes or raisins! Unsalted green beans and baby carrots are always a healthy choice. Served cold is a nice summer treat. No mushrooms or avocado. Rice, cheese, and eggs are good but in small amounts as they can be fattening. Meat!! Thats what they’re snoopin around for right!!!??? Chicken, Turkey, beef is all good. No fatty meats like ham, bacon, or pork. And don’t give anything in grease, fat or gravy. So basically the meat, not with all the fixings. No onions or garlic. No bones! What’s in the bowl? If its popcorn or roasted cashews, that’s ok too! But try to stay away from salt. No walnuts or macadamias! Any other nuts check with your veterinarian or call poison control. No chocolate. To prevent guests from giving table scraps, have your pets cookies nearby or prepare some fun summer treats. Remember, treats are good in small portions. But too much of anything, like us can cause upset stomaches. And always take into consideration the size and health of any pet. Pets can burn around barbeques, so be safe and watch them at all times. Be sure they are a safe distance away. 👍 🐾❤ If you feel your pet has gotten into something unsafe contact your veterinarian immediately.
