This includes salt water pools. While salt water pools may not contain as much salt, it still has enough to cause damage. Especially to pets with existing liver or kidney problems.
Drinking from a well maintained chlorine pool is harmless, although in large consumption may cause upset stomach. It should never be a main source of water.
